What exactly is sub-corrosion?
Through a porous layer, such as ceramic, chrome, HVOF, seawater can penetrate and cause corrosion beneath the base material. Leading to very serious consequences, such as the failure of the entire hydraulic cylinder!
How can you prevent sub-corrosion?
By using our special Topclad laser clad layers. These are completely pore-free, ensuring that seawater has no chance to penetrate! Feel free to contact us for the optimal clad layers.
